Garden of the Gods
This is a park which belongs to the City of
Colorado Springs.
Its main attractions are various formations of large red rocks,
especially Balanced Rock.

That's Pike's Peak in the distance.

Here's Balanced Rock. The woman standing beside it shows scale.

Balanced Rock. Don't sneeze.
Cave of the Winds
This cavern isn't very grandiose, but it runs
fairly deep.
Its opening is at the top of a deep canyon.

Here's the official photo they take of each person or group at the beginning of the tour.

This is a view of the canyon from the top.
The bridge is Interstate 24.

This is a time capsule. Buried in 1881, it will be opened in 2081.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
These are adobe structures built by the Anasazi
under a cliff overhang hundreds of years ago.

The gift shop was built against the cliff.
Here, inside the gift shop,
you can see that the cliff itself forms its back wall. Some of
the
merchandise was displayed on natural shelves formed in the rock.
